MBABANE – The Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA)’s duo of Mbali Dlamini and Nhlanhla Dlamini will be empowered under the Gender Equality in Angola.
This will be during the forum to be held in Angola, Luanda on Wednesday and Thursday (November 13 and 14, 2024). The duo left the country on Tuesday through the His Majesty King Mswati III International Airport.
The event, supported by the Olympic Solidarity will be hosted by the National Olympic Committee of Angola in the Capital City of Luanda.
EOCGA confirmed the duo’s departure through their social media pages.
“EOCGA Administration Manager Mbali Dlamini and Finance Manager Nhlanhla Dlamini have departed via Sikhuphe International Airport to attend the 2024 Gender Equality Forum that will take place on November 13 and 14, 2024,” reads the post.
The forum is part of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) strategies in its commitment to promote women in sports. The IOC made history this year when the Paris 2024 Games marks the first Olympic Games in the history to have the same number of women to compete same as men.
Gender equality means the right responsibilities and opportunities of individuals will not depend on whether they are male or female, handicapped or able bodied, young or elderly, colour of skin, from rural or urban settings but accommodate all.
