MBABANE – “Her level of honesty and integrity is what captivated me!”

These words were echoed by the groom, Nsikayethu Daniel Dlamini, about his bride, Bride Ayanda Charity Bhembe.

He said. “I first saw her picture on her sister’s phone, and then asked for her number, and we chatted until we agreed to meet towards the end of November 2019. Her level of honesty and integrity is what captivated me. Yes, her beauty attracted me, but her personality sealed the deal for me.”

He went on to add, “Well, we started by just chatting, getting to know each other. I am one guy who likes the truth more, so we clicked, as she also is one honest person. She showered me with love as I was on the brink of giving up on love; she brought back hope again. Apparently my personality also resonated with her as she connected more with me, more especially because she had heard stories about me, but when she met me, it seemed like those stories were fabricated to prevent her from meeting or rather getting in a relationship with me.”

He further said, “We learnt a lot from each other as we journey through our love until one day I asked her if she had reasons for loving me, and her reply shocked me until lately I realised it was not just her replying but a voice of God spoke through her. We loved each other, laughed with each other, and shared good moments and tragic ones, but through it all our love remained strong, shared the groom.”

He concluded, “After dating for four years, it was just one evening on Thursday, 30 November 2023. I had just returned from work, and while waiting for her to come back, I was in deep thought when I actually realised I want to spend the rest of my life with her. I waited for her to come back and made a nice meal for her. She came back, took a shower, and just when she was coming out of the bathroom, I asked her to marry me. I further said I want to go ask for her hand in marriage at her homestead.

He then went to her family to ask for her hand on the 26th of December 2023. Initially he had planned to have an engagement ceremony on 31st December 2023, but things did not go as planned, so we ended up getting engaged on the 31st of March 2024.

Their wedding was held on 30 November 2024 at the Manzini HRC Auditorium, Ngwane Street, opposite Manzini Municipality (Town Council) Civic Offices, next to Old Trade Fair Pavilion after passing Riverstone Traffic Lights.
