MBABANE – South African Afro-pop and maskandi sensation Mduduzi Ncube will be the star attraction at the highly anticipated Mbabane Crossover Show on December 31.

Organized by the Philani Maswati Charity Organization, the event will usher in 2025 with music, fitness, and festivities at the Prince of Wales Sports Grounds.

Ncube, renowned for hits like Isiginci, Angsakhoni, and Phendula, expressed his excitement in a social media video, urging fans to attend. “I’m thrilled to be part of this incredible event. Let’s come together and make it a night to remember,” said the award-winning singer.

The event is not just about entertainment—it is a platform for giving back. Proceeds from the show will support elderly residents in Mbabane, addressing challenges such as resource scarcity in urban areas.

Local businesses have rallied behind the initiative. Taste of Africa announced a sponsorship of E15,000, joining EBet Eswatini, which contributed E18,000. Nelson Matsebula, Director of Taste of Africa, emphasized the importance of collective action, saying, “This sponsorship is our way of giving back to the nation that has supported our brand.”

Philani Maswati Chairperson Lutfo Dlamini expressed gratitude for the contributions, stating, “These sponsorships are vital to our mission of bringing hope and dignity to the elderly.”

The event promises an unforgettable experience, with daytime fitness sessions led by South African trainer Nkhululeko Dlamini and evening performances by gospel legend Sipho Makhabane, Shiba and the Travellers, and headliner Mduduzi Ncube.

Organizers are encouraging local vendors to book stalls, ensuring broader community participation. Proceeds from ticket sales, priced at E100, will further aid the charity’s mission.

Her Majesty the Queen Mother, Indlovukazi, has been a steadfast supporter of the organization’s efforts, inspiring organizers to continue their impactful work. Mbabane East Indvuna Yenkhundla Phindile Maziya lauded the sponsors, saying, “This support ensures our elderly feel valued as we transition into the new year.”

With Mduduzi Ncube’s soulful performance and a lineup of inspiring acts, the Mbabane Crossover Show is set to be a memorable and meaningful way to end the year. Don’t miss the chance to celebrate and support this worthy cause!
