MBABANE SWALLOWS MOURN THE PASSING OF DR. NASH SHONGWE

MBABANE – The Mbabane Swallows Football Club has joined the nation in mourning the loss of Dr. Nash Shongwe, founder of the Devine Healing Ministries, who passed away on December 30, 2024, while receiving treatment at a hospital in South Africa.

In a statement released on Friday morning, the club highlighted Dr. Shongwe’s significant role within their community. Not only was he a passionate supporter of the red-and-white team, but he also served as a senior member of the club’s advisory board.

“Mbabane Swallows Football Club, its Senior Board Members, the Advisory Board, Management, Supporters Committees, and affiliated branches extend heartfelt condolences to the family of Bishop Nash Shongwe following his untimely passing,” read the statement.

To honor his memory, a memorial service is scheduled for Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Devine Healing Ministries International in Manzini, starting at 10 a.m. The funeral service will follow on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Ekutsimuleni, after a night vigil beginning at 7 p.m.

“We pray for his soul to rest in eternal peace and for God to provide comfort to all during this challenging time,” the statement concluded.

Meanwhile, Mbabane Swallows will continue with their scheduled MTN Premier League fixture against Illovo on Saturday. The match will take place at Mkhuzweni Technical Centre, with kick-off at 3 p.m.
