NGCULWINI – AyaCity has secured a February DJ residency at Ehawini Lifestyle!
The entertainment establishment has announced an initiative that will allow different DJs to hold a monthly residency. Ayanda Motsa, popularly known as AyaCity, will be the first to take on this role, making his debut on Saturday, February 8, 2025, as confirmed by Ehawini representative Zeeyanda Shabalala. Entry to the event is free.
The lineup to kick off AyaCity’s February residency includes AyaCity himself, along with Sgitha, Obsession, Baybash, Zulu D, and Sbu The Drum DJ.
According to Shabalala, on February 22, 2025, AyaCity will have the opportunity to invite a guest DJ or artist of his choice as part of the residency gig.
When asked about what fans can expect, AyaCity shared, “Fans can look forward to an electrifying atmosphere filled with exclusive music from some of the best local DJs in the kingdom.”
Regarding the special guest for February 22, he teased, “We’re still finalizing the details, but I can assure fans that it will be someone they have been eagerly waiting to see, either on February 28 or March 1.”
Shabalala also revealed that next month, a new DJ will take over the residency for the duration of he month, continuing the initiative.
Ehawini Lifestyle is conveniently located just 10 minutes from Manzini, past Hhelehhele on the way to Ngculwini.
AyaCity has been a DJ in the Amapiano genre since 2011. Over the years, he has opened for international stars such as Black Coffee and Lady Zamar and has shared the stage with notable artists like DJ Shimza, Sjava, Sun-El, Kabza De Small, the late AKA, Ricky Rick, and many more.
In April last year, photos of South African DJ and record producer Kabza De Small wearing an AyaCity-branded T-shirt went viral. Kabza De Small had been booked as the headliner for the debut of The Balcony Groove at Ocean Cuisine Restaurant and Bar at Riverstone in Manzini.
Next Friday, the same venue will host South African singer and songwriter Xowla_Istallion. The show is scheduled to start at 6 PM and run until late, with an entry fee of E50.
