MBABANE – Moneni Pirates have recognized their young star, Sananelo Nkambule, for scoring a spectacular goal in the Ingwenyama Cup quarter-final against Manzini Sea Birds last Saturday.
The player received a monetary reward from Viva Beverages on Thursday. Nkambule executed an impressive overhead kick in the 68th minute to equalize for his team, and Pirates subsequently triumphed in the match during the penalty shootout.
The presentation was made by the team’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Meluleki ‘Sluga’ Simelane, who expressed gratitude to Viva Beverages for the recognition of Nkambule’s achievement. A monetary reward is a specific sum of money awarded to an employee for accomplishing a particular task or goal. Such rewards can manifest as bonuses, commissions, or incentives and are typically based on performance, merit, or seniority.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Viva Beverages for acknowledging Senanelo’s accomplishment with this monetary reward. Your sponsorship and support of football in Eswatini, particularly for Moneni Pirates, are invaluable, and we deeply appreciate your commitment to celebrating the achievements of our players,” stated Simelane.
Simelane then addressed Sananelo: “This is merely the beginning! Keep working diligently, remain focused, and continue to create magic on the pitch. We are immensely proud of you.”
Moneni Pirates are now a team to be reckoned with following the takeover of Thulani Xaba as Chairman. Pirates have secured a place among the four teams competing in the Ingwenyama Cup semi-finals, alongside Mbabane Swallows, Royal Leopard, and Young Buffaloes.
While they struggled in the MTN Premier League last year, they are currently challenging this season, positioned fifth in the table, just seven points behind the leaders, Royal Leopard. They will face Mbabane Highlanders on Sunday at Mavuso Sports Centre, with kick-off scheduled for 4:30pm
