MTN LEAGUE TO RETURN WITH GREEN MAMBA FACING SWALLOWS

MBABANE – The MTN Premier League will resume this weekend with a thrilling match between league leaders Green Mamba and challengers Mbabane Swallows.

The league returns after a week-long hiatus to accommodate the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. The specific dates and kick-off times will be announced by the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) as the week progresses. The matches will resume under Round 18.

Green Mamba currently tops the table with 39 points, while Mbabane Swallows sit in sixth place with 29 points. Other exciting fixtures include second-placed Royal Leopard facing Ezulwini United, and Young Buffaloes going up against Moneni Pirates.

Meanwhile, relegation-threatened Sidvwashini United will host Rangers, who are also at risk of falling into the relegation zone. Sidvwashini United languishes at the bottom of the table with eight points from 17 matches, while Rangers are positioned fourth from the bottom among the 14 teams, with 16 points.

Madlenya FC, currently second from the bottom with nine points, will visit Manzini Sea Birds, and Sisonkhe, who are also struggling in the league, will host Mbabane Highlanders, who are in 10th place with 20 points.

Completing the fixtures, Nsingizini Hotspurs will host Illovo.
