MBABANE – Get ready to dance into Easter as Kabza De Small takes over Mdzimba View Shisanyama.
Fans of amapiano in Eswatini are in for an electrifying Easter weekend as South African superstar Kabza De Small is set to perform at Mdzimba View Shisanyama in Ezulwini on April 17.
The self-proclaimed godfather of amapiano will headline the venue’s popular Ladies Night series, a weekly Thursday event renowned for hosting thrilling performances.
His appearance is anticipated to be a musical spectacle, with local acts joining him on stage to ensure an unforgettable night of entertainment.
Since the event’s announcement, social media has been abuzz with excitement, with fans eagerly counting down the days to what promises to be a night of high-energy performances and world-class music.
The event, organized by Mdzimbaview Shisanyama management, is expected to draw a large crowd, further cementing the venue’s reputation as a top entertainment hotspot.
Born Kabelo Motha in Mpumalanga, South Africa, Kabza De Small has risen to become one of the most influential figures in the amapiano genre. His career took off in the early 2010s, but he truly made a name for himself in 2018 with hits like Amabele Shaya and Umshove. As a pioneer of the amapiano movement, he has worked alongside other industry giants such as DJ Maphorisa, forming the iconic duo Scorpion Kings.
His ability to blend deep house, jazz, and kwaito into his music has made him a household name across Africa and beyond. With chart-topping albums such as I Am the King of Amapiano: Sweet & Dust and KOA II Part 1, he continues to dominate the South African and international music scenes. Kabza De Small is known for his signature log drum sound and infectious beats, making him a must-see performer for any lover of amapiano.
Dubbed the “Best Ladies Night Show,” the lineup features some of Eswatini’s finest DJs, including Lady Zee, Dual Force, Zulu D, and Obsession, who will add their own unique flair to the night. Other supporting acts such as Bisto, Baybash, and Ayacity are also set to deliver a genre-blending performance, showcasing Eswatini’s vibrant and diverse music scene.
Speaking about the event, Mdzimbaview Shisanyama co-owner Shimon Togerman expressed enthusiasm about hosting such a major artist.
“We are thrilled to bring this experience to our patrons. This event is more than just music; it is about culture and bringing people together. We are expecting fans from across the country and beyond. The response has already been overwhelming, and we can confidently say this will be one of the biggest events Eswatini has seen in recent times,” Togerman said.
He further emphasized the significance of the show, stating, “We promise that the Kabza De Small show will be the mother of all shows hosted by Mdzimbaview Shisanyama to date, with special emphasis on quality regarding the VVIP experience, which will be limited to 100 patrons on a first-come basis. Controlled access to the VVIP and stage will be very strict to ensure that our VVIP customers receive the exclusive experience they deserve.”
To enhance the overall experience, the venue has introduced several improvements, including strategically placed satellite bars to provide general customers with faster and more pleasant service. Additionally, special activations and promotions will be rolled out to thank loyal patrons for their continued support.
Togerman also revealed plans to ensure convenience and safety for all attendees.
“We are working closely with our neighbors to provide additional secure parking, free of charge, with car guards and a free shuttle service to and from Mdzimbaview. Our goal is to make the overall experience on the night both memorable and hassle-free.”
The date of the event was strategically chosen, as April 17 falls just before Good Friday, allowing patrons to fully enjoy the night without work-related concerns the following day. To further enhance security, Mdzimbaview will deploy additional security personnel to maintain a safe environment in and around the venue.
Recognizing Kabza De Small’s influence in the music industry, Togerman added, “Kabza De Small is one of the best DJs in the industry and a highly sought-after artist within the amapiano genre. We are excited to host such an incredible talent.”
With ticket sales being capped to ensure the quality of both the VVIP and general experiences, patrons are encouraged to purchase their tickets early. “Once we reach our capacity, we will stop selling tickets, as we believe in providing our customers with a premium and valuable entertainment experience,” Togerman affirmed.
With presale tickets set at E200 for general entry and E350 for VIP access, music lovers are urged to secure their spots in advance. The night promises to be a celebration of music, culture, and the growing influence of amapiano in the entertainment industry.
