ZANZIBAR — Renowned local DJ and seasoned performer, DJ Mixmash, is set to headline the upcoming Full Moon Party at Zanzibar’s iconic Kendwa Rocks Beach this Saturday.
The Kendwa Rocks Full Moon Party, held monthly on the Saturday nearest the full moon, is one of East Africa’s most celebrated beach events. Known for its electric atmosphere, world-class performances, and breath-taking setting on Kendwa Beach, the event draws both international tourists and regional music lovers for a night of dancing under the stars.
Zanzibar, a semi-autonomous region of Tanzania located in the Indian Ocean, is famed for its pristine beaches, cultural richness, and historical significance as the “Spice Island.” The island of Unguja, commonly referred to as Zanzibar, continues to be a leading destination in the East African tourism circuit.
Speaking ahead of the performance, DJ Mixmash shared his excitement at leading the night’s festivities, describing the opportunity as a pivotal moment for his brand. “This event marks the beginning of more international engagements and artistic collaborations,” he said, hinting at future cross-border ventures.
The DJ also extended his gratitude to Kendwa Rocks Beach Hotel who will be the host hotel for his stay, and acknowledged the support of LetsGoZanzibar, a local travel agency that arranged his travel and logistics.
A familiar name on major regional line-ups, DJ Mixmash has built a strong reputation for his vibrant sets and dynamic stage presence. His previous performances include the MTN Bushfire Festival, the Standard Bank Luju Festival, and the recent Friends of Kelvin Momo event at SibaneSami Hotel. Most recently, he delighted fans with a surprise appearance at KwaZulu-Natal’s growing Jazz at The Berg Festival, where his afro-pop and jazz-infused set earned widespread acclaim.
With Zanzibar’s full moon lighting the stage, DJ Mixmash’s headline set promises to be an unforgettable highlight in an already celebrated musical career.
