MBABANE – Eswatini’s entrepreneurial drive shifted into high gear this morning with the official opening of Isematholeni Auto Spares, a brand-new E800 000 investment that promises to strengthen the automotive sector and create local jobs.

Officiating the launch was the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, who hailed the new enterprise as a powerful demonstration of confidence in Eswatini’s economy. Isematholeni Auto Spares, a subsidiary of Isematholeni Investments, was praised for taking a bold step into a vital economic sector.

“This is a proud moment for local entrepreneurship,” Minister Khumalo said. “An E800 000 investment in the automotive industry reflects a long-term commitment to economic growth, job creation, and community development.”

The Minister emphasised that reliable transport is essential for every corner of the economy—from small businesses to service delivery—and that access to affordable, high-quality vehicle parts is critical. Isematholeni Auto Spares is stepping in to fill that gap.

He lauded the directors for not only bringing business solutions to the capital but also creating immediate employment opportunities, including for women. The Minister encouraged the company to continue prioritising inclusivity and to offer training opportunities that empower youth.

Khumalo also highlighted government’s dedication to supporting MSMEs through favourable policies that ease access to finance, improve market access, and simplify business processes. He commended the directors’ intention to engage in corporate social responsibility, saying such commitments help businesses become key players in national development.

“As we open these doors today, we also open opportunities—for families, for entrepreneurs, and for our economy. Isematholeni Auto Spares is a great example of how private sector leadership can align with His Majesty’s call for economic transformation,” he concluded.

The E800 000 venture is now officially open in Mbabane, bringing with it not just auto parts, but renewed hope for Eswatini’s entrepreneurial future.
