MBABANE – Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini represented His Majesty King Mswati III and the Kingdom of Eswatini at Mozambique’s 50th Independence celebration, held on June 25, 2025, at Machava Stadium in Matola.
This significant event was attended by over 30 African Heads of State and Government, highlighting the importance of solidarity among African nations. Other important diplomats of the country attended, showing support of the South-East African state.

The celebration marked a pivotal moment in Mozambique’s history, reflecting on the struggles and achievements since gaining independence from Portuguese colonial rule in 1975. President Daniel Chapo emphasized the importance of renewing hope among the youth, encouraging them to continue striving for economic independence.
