MBABANE – Linamandla Medical Centre through its charity arm, the Linamandla Foundation, has donated over 100 blankets to elderly residents in Mbabane West and Mbabane East Inkhundla under the campaign called “Give a Blanket. Share the Warmth,” which aims to support senior citizens during the cold season.
The donation formed part of the facility’s winter outreach campaign, themed “Give a Blanket. Share the Warmth,” which called on members of the public to support the initiative by either contributing blankets or making monetary donations toward the purchase of new ones.
Linamandla Medical Centre is a multidisciplinary health facility offering services such as general medical consultations, audiology, physiotherapy, psychiatry, rheumatology, and geriatric care. In addition to providing clinical services, the centre continues to carry out community-focused programmes through its foundation, including elderly outreach initiatives.
In March 2025, the facility hosted a major health outreach event that served over 160 senior citizens with free screenings and health education, reaffirming its commitment to holistic wellness and community upliftment.
The medical centre asks members of the public to support the campaign by either bringing blankets to their offices at Swazi Plaza or donating E400, which is the cost of one blanket. People could also send money through eWallet, MoMo, or deposit it into the Linamandla Foundation bank account
