EZULWINI – “Champions are born out of competition,” declared Minister of Education and Training Owen Nxumalo during the finale of the FNB Eswatini Challenge at Ezulwini Golf Club on Saturday.

Standing in for the Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs, Bongani Nzima, Nxumalo commended the golfers for their skill, determination, and sportsmanship, stressing that competitive platforms like the FNB Eswatini Challenge are vital in nurturing excellence both on and off the course.

He applauded the Sunshine Tour and FNB Eswatini for their continued partnership in hosting the prestigious tournament, noting that such events not only promote sport but also position Eswatini as a tourism destination.

“Champions are born out of competition and the collective competition among the hundreds of golfers who took part in this tournament has created an unforgettable experience for both players and spectators,” he said.

“I therefore take this moment to congratulate all partners who contributed to the success of this event.”

The 2025 edition of the tournament concluded in spectacular fashion, with Michael Hollick crowned champion in front of an enthusiastic crowd, marking another memorable chapter in Eswatini’s growing golf legacy.
