SIKHUPHE – Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has departed the Kingdom of Eswatini for the Kingdom of Lesotho, where he will represent His Majesty King Mswati III and the Eswatini Nation at a prestigious royal celebration.
The event honours His Majesty King Letsie III of Lesotho, who was bestowed with the Presidential Global Water-maker Award earlier this year. The recognition, presented during the African Union–AIP Africa Water Investment Summit in August, celebrates the Basotho King’s outstanding leadership and commitment to advancing sustainable water development and access across the continent.
The ceremony also coincides with the 39th anniversary of the signing of the Lesotho Highlands Water Treaty, a landmark agreement symbolizing regional cooperation and shared prosperity through water resource management.
Dlamini’s presence reflects Eswatini’s continued solidarity and partnership with Lesotho and its shared vision for sustainable development within the Southern African region.
