MBABANE – Eswatini’s acclaimed gospel musician and worship leader Sphiwo Ndoni is preparing to bless the nation with two new songs titled “Sogcamile” and “Sinomvuzo,” with the official release set to be announced towards the end of this week.
In an interview, Ndoni revealed that both songs were birthed from deep spiritual reflection and personal encounters with God. He shared that Sogcamile came from his daily prayer: “I always pray that God be the eminent one in my life, my ministry, and in all the worship gatherings we have.” The song carries a posture of surrender and reverence, echoing Ndoni’s desire to keep God at the center of everything he does.
Speaking on Sinomvuzo, Ndoni explained that the song draws inspiration from Hebrews 10:35, a scripture that encourages believers to hold fast to their confidence in God. “It is a reminder to all believers not to stop trusting God, for in due season we shall be rewarded,” he said. The message of the track serves as a source of encouragement for anyone feeling weary in their faith journey.
Ndoni emphasized that the heart of both songs aligns with the core message he continues to carry throughout his ministry—the proclamation of the Kingdom of God, the declaration that Jesus Christ is the King of kings, and the assurance that faith works wonders and carries many rewards.
Known for his soul-stirring sound and his ability to blend Zion, Weslayan, Roman Catholic hymns, and contemporary worship, Sphiwo Ndoni has solidified his place as one of Eswatini’s leading gospel voices. His hits such as Tivetemhlaba Tikubone, Waze Wetsembeka, and the popular Icilongo levangeli/Amaculo Medley remain favourites among gospel audiences.
A multi-award nominee and winner—including recognition from the Best of Africa Award (MGOMA)—Ndoni has also made a major impact as the founder of the Mount Zion Experience, an annual worship gathering that unites believers across denominations. Outside of music, he continues to excel as a Public Relations practitioner and director of Sphiwo Ndoni Tive Temhlaba.
