MBABANE– Education leaders from across the Kingdom of Eswatini are sharpening their skills at the Annual National School Leadership Workshop.
The event held at The George Hotel and themed “Leadership for Impact: Building Resilient Schools, Communities and Futures,” brings together principals and senior education stakeholders to strengthen schools and communities nationwide on 26 February 2026.
A distinguished delegation from the Russian Federation has joined the ongoing sessions. Together, they are exploring strategies for leadership and building resilient schools.
Minister of Education and Training, Owen Nxumalo, addressed the participants, saying: “It is my great pleasure to warmly welcome you to the Kingdom of Eswatini. Your presence here today marks an important step in strengthening the ties between our two nations. We look forward to deepening this partnership through reciprocal exchanges.”

Nxumalo highlighted key milestones in Eswatini’s education sector, including the introduction of AS Levels to ensure learners can compete confidently on the global stage. He also reiterated the government’s commitment to inclusive education, adding: “His Majesty the King and the Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini remain firmly committed to providing quality education for all. This commitment is reflected in the introduction of Free Primary Education, ensuring that no child is left behind. Our government also continues to support vulnerable learners, including Orphans and Vulnerable Children.”
The workshop’s sessions focus on leadership strategies, emotional resilience, work-life balance, and conflict management, equipping principals with the tools to build stronger schools and communities. Delegates, including the visiting Russian representatives, will participate in practical school tours, offering insight into Eswatini’s education system and identifying opportunities for collaboration.
This initiative underscores Eswatini’s commitment to transformative educational leadership, nurturing school leaders who will drive sustainable change and shape resilient futures for learners nationwide.
