EZULWINI – The Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs, Bongani Nzima, has praised the strong participation of young people at the MoMo Xperience, describing it as a powerful platform for youth empowerment in Eswatini.

Speaking at the MTN Club House in Ezulwini, the Minister highlighted how the event is creating real opportunities for young people to grow within the creative and digital space. The MoMo Xperience, which brought together performers, content creators, vendors and event staff, is largely driven by youth who are showing innovation, creativity and leadership.

Nzima said he was encouraged to see young emaSwati taking active roles in shaping the future of the country’s digital economy. He noted that many of them are not only showcasing their talents but are also building businesses and gaining valuable exposure.

“Events like the MoMo Xperience give young people a chance to develop important digital and financial skills while also inspiring them to explore opportunities in creative industries,” he said.

The Minister also emphasised the importance of financial technology in supporting the growth of cultural and creative sectors. He explained that digital platforms are making it easier for artists, traders and organisers to do business, while opening new doors for entrepreneurship.

According to Nzima, technology is not only changing how business is done but is also transforming how culture and creativity are shared and promoted. This shift, he said, is key in preparing young people for a future driven by innovation.

He further assured that the Ministry remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower youth and provide them with tools to succeed. The MoMo Xperience stands as one of the many platforms helping young people turn their ideas into real opportunities.

As the event continues to grow, it is clear that young people are at the centre of Eswatini’s creative and digital future.
