MBABANE– Three vulnerable members of the Only God Knows Charity have received a significant boost towards digital inclusion after The Hillary Outreach donated technology devices worth E18 000 during a handover ceremony held at the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office in Mbabane on June 5, 2026.
The donation comprised four 9th Generation iPads valued at E3 050 each and a Dell touchscreen laptop worth E5 950. The devices were presented as part of ongoing efforts to bridge the digital divide and empower vulnerable members of society through improved access to technology.
The beneficiaries of the donation were:
– Hlelolwenkhosi Nkambule – a pupil at St. Theresa High School
– Thobani Gina – from Ezindwendweni High School
– Precious Vilakati – a former learner of Mankayane High School
Founded by Themba Hillary and Sons, under the slogan “Likusasa Lenu, Likusasa Letfu” (Your Future, Our Future), The Hillary Outreach continues to invest in initiatives aimed at improving the lives of disadvantaged individuals and creating opportunities for personal development.
Speaking during the handover, Hilary said the donation was driven by a commitment to ensuring that vulnerable members of society are not left behind in an increasingly digital world.
“We believe that access to technology is no longer a luxury but a necessity. Through this donation, we want to empower beneficiaries with tools that will help them access information, education and opportunities that can improve their lives. Our slogan, ‘Likusasa Lenu, Likusasa Letfu’, reflects our belief that when we invest in the future of others, we are investing in the future of the nation,” he said.
Xolani Nkambule, Director of Only God Knows Charity, expressed gratitude to The Hillary Outreach, describing the donation as a life-changing intervention that will have a lasting impact on the beneficiaries.
“This support comes at a crucial time and will greatly assist our beneficiaries in accessing educational resources, developing digital skills and remaining connected to opportunities that can help them improve their lives. We are grateful to The Hillary Outreach for believing in our mission and supporting those we serve,” said Nkambule.
Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Thulisile Dladla commended The Hillary Outreach for complementing government efforts to uplift vulnerable citizens and promote social inclusion.
“We appreciate partners such as The Hillary Outreach who continue to demonstrate that community development is a shared responsibility. Access to technology opens doors for learning, communication and economic participation. This donation will help ensure that vulnerable members of our society are equipped to participate meaningfully in today’s digital environment,” she said.
The beneficiaries welcomed the donation, noting that the devices would enable them to access educational content, conduct research, complete school-related work, communicate more effectively and explore opportunities for personal growth.
The initiative underscores the growing importance of public-private-community partnerships in advancing digital inclusion and ensuring that vulnerable citizens are equipped with tools to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital economy.
