EZULWINI– The Kingdom of Eswatini’s healthcare, agriculture and creative sectors are poised for a digital transformation following the launch of three innovative technology solutions aimed at improving access to essential services, protecting livelihoods and creating new economic opportunities for citizens.

Unveiled at Happy Valley Hotel on June 17, 2026, the initiatives – TruMD eSwatini, ContentHub eSwatini and an Animal Tracking Solution – are designed to address key national challenges while harnessing digital innovation to improve service delivery and expand participation in the digital economy.

TruMD eSwatini is a telemedicine platform that enables users to consult healthcare professionals remotely, receive medical advice and obtain digital prescriptions without travelling long distances to health facilities. The service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ensuring continuous access to healthcare support, particularly for citizens in remote and underserved areas.

The Animal Tracking Solution allows farmers to track the location and movement of livestock in real time using digital technology. The innovation is aimed at combating cattle theft, improving livestock management and enhancing road safety by alerting farmers when animals move into high-risk areas.

ContentHub eSwatini is a digital platform that enables local creators to distribute and monetise their content. It provides opportunities for musicians, educators, filmmakers, podcasters and storytellers to reach wider audiences and generate income through subscription-based access.

The launch brought together government leaders, industry stakeholders, healthcare professionals, farmers and content creators, highlighting the growing importance of digital innovation in driving inclusive economic growth and improving public services.

Delivering the keynote address, Minister of Information, Communications and Technology Savannah Maziya said the solutions reflect government’s commitment to leveraging technology to improve the quality of life for citizens.

“What excites me most about these solutions is that they place people at the centre of innovation. This is fully aligned with the Government in Your Hand initiative and our broader Digital Eswatini Programme, which seeks to leverage technology to improve service delivery and drive economic growth,” she said.

On TruMD eSwatini, the minister said the platform will help reduce transport costs and improve access to healthcare by allowing citizens to consult medical professionals virtually and receive timely medical support.

On the Animal Tracking Solution, she noted that livestock theft continues to affect farmers across the country and said the technology will strengthen efforts to monitor and recover stolen animals while improving livestock security.

She also welcomed ContentHub eSwatini, saying it provides new opportunities for local creators to benefit economically from their work and contribute to the growth of the creative sector.

Speaking at the launch, MTN Eswatini Acting Chief Executive Officer Jerry Soko said the three solutions demonstrate how technology can be used to solve real challenges facing communities.

Soko explained that TruMD eSwatini will offer unlimited nurse triage services and access to qualified doctors through secure video consultations for E99 per month. Users will also be able to receive digital prescriptions and sick notes from the comfort of their homes or workplaces.

He added that the Animal Tracking Solution will help farmers monitor livestock in real time, protecting their assets and improving productivity within the agricultural sector.

On ContentHub eSwatini, Soko said the platform has been developed to unlock opportunities within the creative economy by enabling creators to upload content free of charge and earn revenue through subscriptions.

Subscription packages are set at E3 per day, E10 per week and E20 per month, making local content more accessible to audiences across the country.

“For many years, talented emaSwati have produced content that celebrates our culture, knowledge and identity, but without sufficient pathways to monetise their creativity. ContentHub creates an opportunity for creators to earn from their work while reaching audiences across the country,” he said.

The launch of TruMD eSwatini, ContentHub eSwatini and the Animal Tracking Solution marks another milestone in Eswatini’s digital transformation journey, demonstrating how innovation can be leveraged to improve healthcare access, strengthen agriculture and unlock new opportunities in the creative economy.
