EZULWINI – The Kingdom of Eswatini and the United States have reaffirmed their long-standing partnership during the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, highlighting a shared commitment to innovation, cooperation, and future-focused development.
The milestone was celebrated on June 25, 2026 at Ezulwini, reflecting both the historic significance of America’s independence and the strength of over five decades of diplomatic relations between the two nations, anchored in mutual respect and expanding collaboration across key sectors.
Speaking at the reception, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Marc Weinstock said the 250th anniversary of the United States is not only a reflection of history, but a renewed call to advance the founding ideals of progress and partnership.
“America at 250 is not a finished project. The Declaration of Independence was not a destination—it was a direction, toward a ‘more perfect union.’ That work continues today through the ingenuity and optimism that have defined the American story from the beginning,” he said.
He emphasized that the United States remains committed to strengthening cooperation with Eswatini through science, technology, and shared expertise aimed at addressing present and future challenges.
“We will continue to bring our best—our science, our technology, and our expertise—to ensure that both of our nations are ready to meet the future,” Weinstock added.
Representing His Majesty King Mswati III, Prince Guduza underscored Eswatini’s role as a committed and longstanding partner of the United States, highlighting the depth and continuity of bilateral relations.
“As the United States marks 250 years of independence, the Kingdom of Eswatini stands not merely as a guest at this commemoration, but as a genuine partner. We have walked beside you for more than half a century of your history, and we intend to walk beside you through whatever comes next,” he said.
The engagement underscored growing cooperation between the two countries in areas such as health, education, trade, economic development, and innovation, with both sides expressing confidence that the partnership will continue to deliver meaningful impact for their citizens.
The celebration concluded on a positive and forward-looking note, honouring not only America’s 250 years of independence but also the enduring friendship and shared vision that continue to guide Eswatini–United States relations into the future.
