MALKERNS– A backstage conversation at the Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival may have opened the door to a life-changing opportunity for rising Eswatini singer and songwriter Nelly Noll after South African rap superstar Nasty C personally invited her to send him her music.
Fresh from opening the stage for Nasty C alongside Tribal Natives, the confident performer found herself in an unexpected conversation with the award-winning rapper behind the scenes.
Instead of exchanging quick greetings, Nasty C showed genuine interest in the local artist’s craft. He first asked how her performance had gone before wanting to know what genre of music she creates.
“I do Afro House and Afro Soul,” Nelly Noll replied.

“I am good. I trust myself. I am so confident about myself,” she said.
