LOBAMBA – His Majesty King Mswati III has invoked God’s blessings upon EmaSwati who have contributed towards the ongoing Umhlanga Cultural Ceremony, thanking them for their generosity and support of the national cultural event.
The King was speaking after receiving tetfulo valued at E28,176,104.00, contributed by various companies, families and individuals towards this year’s Umhlanga.
His Majesty expressed his appreciation to all those who had contributed, saying their support would play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the cultural ceremony.
The King noted that a huge number of Imbali had attended this year’s Umhlanga, resulting in a significant need for food to be prepared for the regiment.
He said the contributions would assist greatly in feeding the Imbali throughout the cultural ceremony.
His Majesty emphasised that the Imbali regiment ought to be fed, as it was well known in the Kingdom of Eswatini that people who come before Their Majesties never go hungry.
The King said the generosity demonstrated by EmaSwati would therefore help ensure that the needs of the Imbali were met and that the Umhlanga ceremony was successfully conducted.
In expressing his gratitude, His Majesty passed on God’s blessing to all those who had contributed towards supporting the ceremony.
“God bless them all,” the King said, appreciating the various companies, families and individuals for their contributions.
The contributions, valued at more than E28.1 million, reflect the continued support from across the country towards one of Eswatini’s most significant cultural gatherings.
