NHLANGANO– A E48 000 loan from the Youth Enterprise Revolving Fund (YERF) has helped young pharmacist Nqobile Mathunjwa turn her professional skills into a healthcare business serving the Nhlangano community.
Mathunjwa, the founder of With Love Pharmacy, started the business in July after receiving financial assistance from YERF. The funding has enabled her to establish a pharmacy that provides prescription medicine, over-the-counter drugs and health check-ups.
With Love Pharmacy is positioning itself as a healthcare service provider within the community, offering residents access to pharmaceutical products and basic health services.
For Mathunjwa, the establishment of the pharmacy is a continuation of her professional journey. She graduated from Eswatini Christian Medical University in 2017, gaining qualifications that equipped her for a career in the healthcare sector.
Mathunjwa said the support she received went beyond the financial assistance, as YERF also provides beneficiaries with training aimed at strengthening their ability to manage their businesses. She also encouraged other young people with business ideas to make use of opportunities provided through the fund.
“I encourage all young people to apply for YERF because they do not only provide financial assistance. They also provide training on managing finances and running a successful business,” she said.
The training is an important component of entrepreneurship support because young business owners need more than capital to establish sustainable enterprises. She said learning how to manage finances and run a business effectively can help entrepreneurs make better decisions and improve the chances of their businesses succeeding.
Through With Love Pharmacy, Mathunjwa has combined her pharmaceutical background with entrepreneurship, creating a business that responds to an essential community need. The business reflects the potential of young professionals to use their qualifications to create enterprises instead of limiting themselves to seeking formal employment.
