MBABANE– Teachers at CMC Primary School were equipped with practical knowledge on financial management during a professional development workshop held on Thursday, 10 September 2026.
The workshop, which focused on strengthening teachers’ professional and personal development, covered key areas including workplace policies, professionalism, staff development and financial management.
The financial management session was facilitated by the Swaziland National Teachers’ Association (SNAT) Psychologist Anele Mazibuko, who provided teachers with key insights aimed at helping them make informed financial decisions and better manage their finances.
Mazibuko’s contribution formed part of the broader professional development programme facilitated by members of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) National Executive Council (NEC).
Among the SNAT NEC members who facilitated at the workshop were SNAT President Mbongwa Dlamini and Secretary General Lot Vilakati.
The participation of the SNAT leadership provided teachers with an opportunity to engage on issues affecting their professional development, workplace conduct and overall well-being.
The workshop also brought together members of the Madlangampisi Branch Executive Committee, including Chairperson Nkosinathi Mamba and Deputy Secretary Mthembeni Fakudze, who attended the programme.
The initiative reflects the importance of continuous professional development for teachers, not only in strengthening their classroom responsibilities but also in equipping them with knowledge and skills that can contribute to their personal well-being.
The financial management component, in particular, highlighted the value of empowering educators with practical financial knowledge as they navigate their personal and professional responsibilities.
The workshop at CMC Primary School therefore served as a platform for teachers to broaden their understanding of workplace policies, professionalism, staff development and financial management, with SNAT leaders and its psychologist contributing their expertise.
