MANZINI – A piece of home is making noise across the border.
There is something special about hearing a familiar song playing in a place far from home. Cy Ndukwemnyama’s song Lembali Ngeyami has found its way onto the airwaves of Lesotho, with the track receiving play on Mohale FM while the artist is in the country for the Global Creative Summit Lesotho 2026.
The song’s appearance on the Lesotho radio station comes as Cy takes part in the regional creative gathering, giving his music an opportunity to reach listeners outside Eswatini. Rather than simply travelling with his music, Cy is seeing it introduced to a new audience through one of Lesotho’s radio platforms.
Lembali Ngeyami playing on Mohale FM adds another layer to his visit, with the song getting a moment in the spotlight while conversations around creativity, culture and the movement of African artists across borders take place at the summit.
For an artist from Eswatini, hearing his music played on foreign radio offers a different kind of exposure. The song is no longer being heard only by audiences familiar with his work at home, but is being given space on Lesotho’s airwaves.
Cy’s presence at the Global Creative Summit has therefore extended beyond the stage. With Lembali Ngeyami receiving airplay during his time in Lesotho, the artist is also using the trip to place his sound in front of a new audience.
The moment also captures one of the simpler ways music travels across Africa one song, one radio station and an audience hearing an artist they may not have encountered before. As Cy continues his stay in Lesotho for the summit, Lembali Ngeyami has already made its own introduction.
