MOZAMBIQUE MEETS ESWATINI FOR A THROWBACK FRIDAY

MBABANE – The sounds of Mozambique and Eswatini will come together on October 30 when veteran Mozambican DJ and entertainer DJ Faya crosses the border for a special Throwback Friday experience at the iconic 23:28 Lounge.

The international music crossover will see DJ Faya share the stage with some of Eswatini’s entertainment favourites, creating a night that brings together two neighbouring countries through music, nostalgia and nightlife.

Presented by NewLife Entertainment,the event will feature special guest,Feling Capela from Mozambique and local DJs and entertainers Ntombs, Karly B, Mixmash, Czar and DJ Cup,who will join DJ Faya for what promises to be a celebration of timeless sounds. Entry is free.

DJ FAYA BRINGS 20 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Born Fayaz Abdul Hamide, DJ Faya has built a career spanning more than two decades and is regarded as one of Mozambique’s established entertainment figures.

He began his DJ journey in 2000 before turning professional in 2004,marking the beginning of a career that has seen him remain active behind the decks for more than 20 years.

His appearance in Eswatini is expected to give local partygoers an opportunity to experience the sound and energy of a DJ whose career has been shaped by years of performing and entertaining audiences in Mozambique and beyond.

For the October 30 event, DJ Faya will bring his wealth of experience to a Throwback Friday concept designed to take revellers back to memorable sounds from different eras.

ESWATINI’S DJs JOIN THE PARTY

While DJ Faya will headline the international side of the event, the Throwback Friday experience will also place Eswatini’s local talent firmly in the spotlight.

Ntombs, Karly B, Mixmash, Czar and DJ Cup, will form part of the lineup, ensuring that the night is not only about the international guest but also about showcasing the country’s own DJs and entertainers.

The combination of the local lineup and DJ Faya is expected to create a distinctly Southern African atmosphere, with the two countries represented on one stage.

The event also highlights the growing movement of entertainment across borders, with artists and DJs from neighbouring countries increasingly finding opportunities to connect with new audiences.
