MALKERNS – South African house music star Oscar Mbo has hinted at an upcoming collaboration with an artist from Eswatini, leaving local music lovers with something to look forward to following his performance at the Eswatini Farmers Market on Saturday night.
Speaking after his set at Malkerns Country Club, the DJ and producer revealed that he is already working on a project with someone from the Kingdom, promising that fans will learn more about the collaboration soon.
“There’s something I’m doing with someone from here in Swaziland, and you guys will know soon,” he said.
The revelation offers a glimpse of a possible musical connection between the South African house music scene and Eswatini’s growing pool of talent, with the potential to create new opportunities for local artists to reach wider audiences.

Oscar Mbo, known for his deep house sound and energetic performances, said he remains open to working with musicians from different places, provided there is a genuine connection between them.
“Music and talent is unlimited. We collaborate with everyone from everywhere,” he said.
He added that the right synergy and connection were important when considering collaborations, suggesting that geography is not a barrier when artists share a musical vision.
His comments will be encouraging to local musicians seeking opportunities to work with established regional acts, particularly as live events continue to bring artists and audiences together across borders.
Reflecting on his latest Farmers Market appearance, Oscar Mbo described the experience as different from his previous performances in Eswatini, noting the larger audience and improved weather conditions.
He said he had been visiting the country for the past six to seven years and that every show had its own special character.
“Every show is special and different in its own way,” he said.
The DJ also recalled a previous performance at The Exchange, describing the conditions as cold. By comparison, the warmer weather at Farmers Market created a different atmosphere, with more people coming out to enjoy the event.
Despite the differences between performances, Oscar Mbo said he consistently enjoyed playing in Eswatini, describing it as one of his favourite countries.
Looking ahead, the producer hinted that more announcements could be on the way, revealing that he was working on another project that he might announce within the next couple of weeks.
Although he did not disclose further details, his remarks suggest that fans could hear more from him in the coming weeks.
For Eswatini’s music lovers, the message was reassuring: Oscar Mbo is not treating his latest appearance as a final stop. He confirmed that he intends to return.
“Eswatini is one of my favourite countries, and definitely I am coming back for sure,” he said.
His promise, coupled with the teased local collaboration, leaves the door open for more musical connections between Oscar Mbo and Eswatini, extending the excitement of Farmers Market beyond the stage and into what may come next.
