MBABANE – Ayeye Entertainment makes digital moves!
Ayeye Entertainment has announced that the feature film titled A Dream (Liphupho) will now be available on their YouTube channel Eswatini Film distributors on 27 February 2025.
This was confirmed by the director and producer, Siphosethu Sibandze today (04 February 2025).
When reached for comment, Sibandze said, “We are proud to announce the release of our feature film titled A Dream (Liphupho) on our YouTube Channel Eswatini Film distributors 27 February, please save the date,” said the director.
The film house has produced four short films. Ayeye Entertainment, in association with Luda Films Production, Bigtime Beats, Lenscope_ISP and Silverstone’s Pictures released the feature film last year in February.
A Dream ‘Liphupho’ is a story that follows “a doubtful boy’s dream of becoming a professional actor while facing the difficult reality of his life. Despite being confined under dire conditions, he remains hopeful and perseverant.
The film was shot around Mbabane, Mantjolo, and also in Hilltop Mahwalala. The duration of the film is one hour, which makes it a feature film. Some of the actors include; Akahle Ntjalintjili, Gift Shongwe, Nqobile, Mavuso as well as Sibandze.
The film is written and directed by Sibandze and Sibusile Dlamini is the assistant director; the cinematographer is Luyanda Motsa; the second camera operator is Sanele Mazibuko; the sound is Bahle Shongwe; and the gaffer is Clifford Dludlu.
Ayeye Entertainment in 2022 produced Lifa Lami, which was the first short film that drew a lot of interest from a lot of emaSwati who love films. It also produced New Problem in Town with Luyanda Motsa, Dear Jesus and Emuva. Liphupho is the first feature film from the production house. According to Sibandze, Ayeye Entertainment has been known for producing the best work in short films.
