MBABANE– A Forbes Leading Woman!
Meet Zindzi Thwala (32) from Mhlambanyatsi who will grace the Forbes Women Africa Leading Women Summit which will take place on 5 March 2025 at Times Square Pretoria in South Africa.
She was also featured for the special edition of the 10th edition of which will salute African ingenuity and the power of the female collective, connecting the dots, the doers and their doings which she shared on her social media pages recently.
We caught up with the gorgeous content creator and this is what she had to say.
How did the invitation to attend the forbes women africa leading women summit come about?
I was made aware that they were looking to collaborate with content creators across the continent. You apply, and they profile you, then shortlist you, and only a few are picked to work and represent the brand at the summit.
What role will you be playing at the summit?
I will be a Content Creation Partner, which means I’ll use my platforms to share awareness around the summit’s objectives. During the event, I’ll provide real-time updates and share what’s happening with my audience.
Is this your first time working with the Forbes team?
Yes, this is my first time. Invites are generally exclusive, and tickets can be expensive.
Besides being a content creator, what else do you do?
I’m actually the Country Manager for Liquid Logic Eswatini, where we specialize in commercial cooling systems across 16 countries. I also own Authentic Beauty House in Mbabane at Checkers Business Park, which offers salon, barber, manicure/pedicure, and makeup services.
I am also a content creator, which means producing and sharing information or and media content for specific audiences particularly in a digital context.
Do you get nervous when you go on stage?
I always get nervous when presenting anything to an audience. It’s energy that I use to fuel me rather than disable me. If it’s important to me, I have to be nervous because it helps me pay attention to detail and over prepare, which is always a good thing.
How do you calm those nerves?
I prepare thoroughly. I make sure to research the topic, the audience, and the venue. When you are prepared, it boosts your confidence on any platform.
What has been your best memory as an MC?
My best memory was at the Eswatini Content Creator Awards. The crowd was so engaged and warm, and being part of an event that celebrates and honours creatives in the country was beautiful.
What advice would you give to local creatives?
It’s never too late to start, but also, the time you think you have… you don’t. Start sharing, creating, speaking, painting, or documenting as soon as yesterday. The more you do it, the better you get, and the more you grow and get exposed. Get to it!
Zinzi Thwala’s journey as a content creator and entrepreneur serves as an inspiration to many. Her insights into preparation, overcoming nerves, and the importance of taking action resonate with aspiring creatives looking to carve their own paths.
