ACAESWA CONGRATULATES MEMBER FOR WINNING EYA

MBABANE – Following being recognised as the Entrepreneur of the Year Award winner on Friday, ACAESWA congratulated one of its members, Sibusiso Baartjies, for walking away with the grand prize.

The prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Eswatini ceremony was held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre.

Baartjies walked away as the overall winner for being a national Most Techno-savvy Business and Hhohho regional winner. He walked away with a brand new Toyota Hilux worth E600 000 and an E80 000 cash prize, which was presented to him by His Majesty King Mswati III.

When reached for comment he shared with this publication that he was humbled and thank God for being recognised as the Entrepreneur of the Year. Baartjies is an artist from local cappella group Amadodana ase AME; he sings the soprano. His business, Datamatics Eswatini, is based in Mbabane. It deals with IT services and supplies computer software and programs.

When reached for comment, The Association of Christian Artists of Eswatini (ACAESWA) President Mcolisi Vilakati said, “ACAESWA is delighted to announce that the Amadodana ase AME and our member, Sibusiso Baartjies, has been recognised as Entrepreneur of the Year at a prestigious awards ceremony held last Friday, August 9, 2024, at Mavuso Trade Centre. This is a significant achievement for Sibusiso and the gospel industry and we are extremely proud of his accomplishments. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to excellence serve as an inspiration for all of us in the Eswatini Arts community.”

Vilakati went to add that ACAESWA also extends its warmest congratulations to Linda Dlamini for her successful live recording event. He said, “Linda’s talent and hard work were on full display at the event, and we are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with him. His achievements are a testament to the strength and vibrancy of the Eswatini Arts Community, and we look forward to seeing more exciting developments from our talented artists.”

He concluded by saying the ACAESWA would also like to extend its support to Sphiwo Ndoni for his upcoming Mount Zion Experience Gospel event. “We are excited to see this event come to fruition and encourage all artists and the Eswatini community to join us in celebrating this occasion. His passion and commitment to gospel music are an inspiration, and we are proud to have him as a member of our association who plays an important role in developing the arts space,” said the president.
