ALL SET FOR SUMMER SHOWDOWN 2024 ON SATURDAY

SIDVOKODVO – The wait is almost over for the Summer Showdown. 2024 show, which will be held on Saturday (28 December 2024) at the Olive Country Lodge.

This was confirmed by DJ Tibza, born Tubuko Nxumalo. The first The set will kick off at 1 pm by DJ Tibza, who will take patrons back to old school. classics from 1 pm to 2:30 pm.

The line-up includes DJTibza, Lord Boogy, Expo, Mbo, and Crooks. Wicked, Young Love, Ntombz, Judah, Cybos, Thabo Phalatse, Slotta, The Bishops, and Speech Umlangeni.

Urban Elements was co-founded by brothers DJ Tibza and DJ Lungstar (Lunga Nxumalo). The events company has served as an iconic host to some of the country’s most memorable events over the years and currently holds a monthly residency at the Happy Valley Hotel in Ezulwini, ‘The Soul Oasis.’

The concept started in 2006 at the once lush Mhlambanyatsi Club hosted by Urban Elements; its core mandate has always been to celebrate oneness in music during the festive season among key opinion leaders from within the country and beyond.

According to Nxumalo, the Urban Elements have always had a very rich musical ear. As such, the event will also serve as a platform to play music that isn’t necessarily mainstream but is otherwise exceedingly groovy. This year the event returns with a bang at Oliveshared with Lodge. Nxumalo shared   this publication that last year, and it attracted over 350 fun-loving patrons who enjoy the out-of-town experience.

DJ Tibza shared that in the past years they have featured local acts, namely, The Bishops, DJ MBO, himself, and Crooks, among others. Additionally, international acts such as Kid Fonque, Trev The Japanese, and John De Baptist has served to render the audience to the ultimate musical treats in previous editions of the Summer Showdown.

Tickets are still available. General E300, at the gate E350, VIP E550, and VVIP accommodation package is going for E1700 (it includes 2 VIP tickets, accommodation for 2 plus breakfast).
