MBABANE – A milestone for Eswatini Arts industry!
Experienced and well versed arts veteran Larry Mhlanga will be one of the facilitators in South Africa at the KwaZulu Natal Artists Workshop which will be held at the Royal Hotel in Durban today and tomorrow (24-25 February 2025).
The workshop will kick off today at 10am – 4pm, it will be held at the Durban Royal Hotel Conference Room. It is made possible by Siboninjabulo Yethemba Welfare Organisation.
When reached for comment Mhlanga confirmed that he was invited as a panelist at the workshop because he works more in South Africa . He will be will be diving into the world of branding and will be one of the facilitators at the workshop. “The topics I will delve into are: Brand Development and Public Relations. For starters, l will address a fundamental question: What exactly is a brand?”
Mhlanga explained that a brand is more than just a logo or a tagline. He said, “It’s a complete sensory and emotional experience that differentiates your product, service, or, in our case, artistic work, from others in the market. It’s the feeling people get when they think of you,” said Mhlanga.
Mhlanga went on to add, “On the topic about Public Relations (PR); I will speak on how much public image is crucial to your success. Public relation is the art of managing your image, building relationships with stakeholders, and promoting your work to the wider world,” shared Mhlanga.
According to Mhlanga one can think of public relations as “UMBHOBHO” that helps one tell a story and let the world hear your voice. In today’s digital age, your image and reputation can make or break your career.
