NGCULWINI – South African Afro-Pop duo Blaq Diamond will make their debut appearance at Ehawini Lifestyle on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
The show, presented by Ehawini Lifestyle, will see gates opening at 2 PM, and an entry fee of only E50 will grant you access. This was confirmed today, January 28, 2025, by Ehawini Lifestyle’s Zeeyanda Shabalala.
The Blaq Diamond duo consists of Ndumiso Mdletshe and Sphelele Dunywa. They hail from KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and first met in 2010 during a school trip, where they both participated in music ciphering on the school bus. The duo signed with the record label Ambitious Records and released their debut album, Inqola, in 2017, which became their first number-one album on iTunes. They rose to prominence in 2019 with their hit single Ibhanoyi, which won the SAMA Record of the Year award.
Local DJs set to perform at the event include Lady Zee, Sbu De Drum DJ, Itsallblaq, Knoxman, DJ Cup, Bandora, and Tilungu. The show will be hosted by the vibrant Nqaba Ginindza.
Ehawini is conveniently located just 10 minutes away from Manzini, past Hhelehhele on the way to Ngculwini.
Next week, the same venue will host South African singer and songwriter Xowla_Istallion on Valentine’s Day. Xowla has collaborated with the Inkabi Zezwe duo as well as artists such as Sjava, Big Zulu, Lwa Ndlunkulu, Mduduzi Ncube, DJ Tira, and Siya Ntuli, among others.
Ehawini Lifestyle recently became home to Monday Therapy on December 16, 2024. The event was previously hosted at The Vibe in Ngwane Park, later moved to Ekhayeni at Kwaluseni, and is now permanently based at Ehawini.
The establishment also hosted the Matamza & Friends show on December 22, 2024. This event featured South African music producer and DJ Khakha Yena, popularly known as Gaba Cannal, along with an impressive lineup of artists, including Matamza, Young Zesh, DJ Cup, Bandora, Maradona, and Mzoro.
