BUSY SCHEDULE FOR SIHLANGU AS THEY FACE ZIMBABWE IN CHAN

MBABANE – The National Football team, Sihlangu will face Zimbabwe in the first round of the CAF African Nations Championships.

The draw for tournament that is open to domestic players only was done on Wednesday afternoon. Sihlangu will play Zimbabwe in the first round on the weekend of October 25 to 27, 2024.

The second leg will be played a week later. Zimbabwe is first to hosts while Eswatini will host the second leg. The winners between the two sides will then face Madagascar in the second round of the tournament with the winner qualifying for the main tournament.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) African Nations Championships add to the already busy scheduled for the national team. Sihlangu will be in action on Friday when they play Mozambique in the CAF African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers in Maputo and they will be back in action against to face the same team on Monday (October 14, 2024) at Mbombela Stadium, South Africa.

Sihlangu will play in this tournament without the international players’ including now Captain Lindo Mkhonto who play for Zesco United in Zambia, Justice Figuareido who play for South Africa Richards Bay among others.
