MBABANE – Cheshire Homes is excited to announce its upcoming Hiking event, scheduled for the 8th of June. This highly anticipated event aims to raise funds to support individuals living in Cheshire Homes while also promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles among participants.
The event that is in collaboration with Malolotja Natire Reserve will feature two main events: a 7 and a 14-kilometer hike, offering options for participants of varying fitness levels. The day will kick off with light training sessions led by experts from the Fitness Laboratory, ensuring that all attendees are well-prepared for the journey ahead.
According to Ayanda Khumalo, the tournament aims to raise funds for people living in Cheshire Homes. “We are raising money to help at Cheshire Homes while encouraging fitness and promoting tourism among Emaswati to visit the different places in Eswatini.” Said Khumalo
He further stated that the event will start at six o’clock in the morning where participants will start by having a little training session to make sure that they are ready for the hike. “The event will start at six in the morning , we will have 7km and we will start by having a fitness session with the help of fitness lab and then they will come back after to help us with aerobics.” He added.
In addition to that, joining the hike, members of the public are welcome to contribute to the cause by making a donation of E 250 for the elders and maybe E150 for the youngsters. These contributions will go directly toward supporting the care and services provided to residents at Cheshire Homes.
This event offers a meaningful way for individuals and families to engage in healthy activities while making a positive impact on their community. Everyone is encouraged to come out, get moving, and help make a difference in the lives of others.
