COACHES ASSOCIATION CALLS FOR CLEAN AND FAIR ELECTIONS

MBABANE – As the Eswatini Football Coaches Association (EFCA) gears up for its upcoming elections, integrity, transparency, and fairness have been placed at the forefront of the process. The association is urging all candidates and members to uphold the highest ethical standards to ensure a credible and trustworthy election.

Speaking at Sigwaca House today, officials highlighted the importance of maintaining a clean electoral process, emphasizing that any form of bribery, vote buying, or undue influence will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

“No candidate shall accept, give, offer, promise, receive, request, or solicit any personal or undue advantage in order to obtain or retain an improper benefit in these elections,” the association stated firmly.

Association leaders further stressed that such acts are strictly prohibited, whether carried out directly, indirectly, or through third parties. They noted that safeguarding the credibility of the elections is not just about the immediate leadership, but also about preserving the reputation of football coaching in Eswatini and ensuring a solid foundation for the sport’s growth in the country.

“Fair play which will be observed as a guiding principle at all times, persons are called to always act in the best interest of the football association and its objectives.”

While the exact date and venue of the elections are yet to be officially announced, the association has assured stakeholders that the upcoming polls will be conducted transparently, in line with international best practices and the EFCA’s commitment to fairness.

The call comes at a critical time for football in Eswatini, as the association looks to strengthen its leadership, enhance coaching standards, and promote the development of the sport across all levels.
