MBABANE – Maureen Sanitary Towels, in collaboration with Eswatini Positive News, has concluded its widely followed competition by awarding a year’s supply of sanitary towels to Daniel Kalanga from Hhelehhele in the Hhohho region.
The initiative aimed to promote menstrual health and community upliftment, drawing participation from people across the country.Daniel Kalanga emerged as the winner and plans to use the prize to benefit underprivileged girls in his community and church.
“I am so happy and delighted to have won the competition and received the prize,” said Kalanga. “These sanitary pads will go a long way in helping the less privileged girls in my church and community. The Bible says, ‘blessed is the hand that gives,’ so it is my prayer that God blesses Eswatini Positive News and Maureen Sanitary Towels. I really and truly appreciate this kind gesture.”
Nkosingiphile Silindza, speaking on behalf of Maureen Sanitary Towels, thanked emaSwati for their support throughout the competition. “This is the last week of the competition, and we thank you so much from Maureen Sanitary Towels in collaboration with Eswatini Positive News,” said Silindza. “Maureen Sanitary Pads are available in the market, and we see that Swazis are supporting us. Therefore, Maureen Sanitary Towels will continue helping emaSwati.”
The competition made a meaningful impact by addressing a critical need faced by many girls, access to sanitary pads. By donating a year’s supply, the initiative helped restore dignity, boost confidence, and support the well-being of young girls who often struggle during their menstrual cycle.
