Speaking on the upcoming gig, a thrilled DJ Cup shared: “I’m really looking forward to my set in Mozambique, which has literally become my second home. The energy and love I receive from there is amazing.”

Reflecting on his Luju Festival debut last weekend at House On Fire, Malkerns, he added: “Luju was too amazing. The reception was overwhelming, people were with me from the first song to the last. It was inspiring, and now I’m onto the next in Mozambique. It’s going to be epic!”

2025 has proven to be a breakthrough year for DJ Cup, both locally and regionally. At Luju, he joined a powerful line-up of artists including; Nomfundo Moh, TKZee, De Mthuda, Buhlebendalo, Andile Yenana, and local favourites like Sandz, Ayacity, and NDUMZ.

Signed under New Life Records, DJ Cup has teased upcoming music and cross-border collaborations with top South African DJs, hinting at an exciting second half of the year.

“I’m so honoured to have performed at Luju for the first time. I can’t wait to share more music and connect with even more fans,” he said.

Just last month, he performed at the exclusive Italian Elegant Experience in Maputo, sharing the stage with global names like Sianageddon (UK), Oscar Mbo, and Picat Da Italian, further cementing his presence on the international house music scene.

Outside of the booth, DJ Cup is also the Operations Director at New Life Entertainment, overseeing event management, studio recording, artist bookings, and mentorship programmes. With over a decade of experience, he has performed across Eswatini, South Africa, Tanzania, and Mozambique.

His recent project, “Prime Time Jams Part 1”, features soulful deep house tracks with vocalists Zinia, Mvelo Tsabedze, and Temantungwa, exploring themes of love, ambition, and bold living.

Recognised for his artistry, DJ Cup has scooped awards at the MTN SWAMA Awards, including:

As he continues to grow his brand and sound, DJ Cup is undeniably becoming one of Eswatini’s most valuable exports in house music. With Mozambique gigs, festival slots, and collaborations lined up, his star is only rising.
