MBABANE – Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) has received Parmalat products from Lactalis Eswatini.

The products were received today (Monday, October 7, 2024) at the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office (DPMO) in Mbabane. The DPM received the products in order for her office to give to pupils of Maphiveni Primary School, who are living under dire conditions.

The products donated included nutritious products such as juices, milk and emasi (sour milk). Dladla said Lactalis had done a great job by extending the donations. She said the 48 children in Maphiveni were in a dire situation, as they did not have food when she visited them sometime this year.

She said they even did not have clothes to wear at the time. However, Ackermans donated the clothes. Unifoods also came through and donated food to the children. Lactalis is another company that has made the donation. According to Dladla, the Lactalis donation will supplement the donations made by the other companies because the children did not only need to be clothed. They also need food.

Dladla pleaded with Lactalis to make monthly donations to the children, if possible. In response, Lactalis Marketing Manager Lucky Phiri, who was with Lactalis Corporate Social Responsibility Manager Temalangeni Dlamini, said they would consult with the entire management of Lactalis to see how they could make it possible for them to make monthly donations.

The managers expressed joy in having formed a partnership with the DPMO, expressing hope that the relationship between the parties would yield positive fruits. The managers, on behalf of the entire management and board of Lactalis, further extended an invitation to the DPM to visit their production site in Matsapha. The DPM promised to make time and visit them to see how the company was producing its products.
