MBABANE – Minister of Health Mduduzi Matsebula says stock level for essential drugs is gradually improving in the country, as it has now reached 60 percent.
Government, according to the minister, has been tasked to improve the health sector to close gaps in the distribution of drugs and further improve the health life for all Emaswati. He said the improvement in availability of drugs would eventually be felt in all the public health facilities around the country.
He said that they were encouraged as the Ministry of Health that the effort they put had produced positive results.
“The stock is gradually increasing and Emaswati can see that there has been a change of the availability of medication in the health care facilities in country. It encourages us as the Ministry of Health that our effort is reaching our goal,” Matsebula said.
He said Emaswati were happy about the change in the health care facilities, as they now got the essential medication although the Ministry had not yet archived the stoke levels that were acceptable, but there was hope.
The minister also highlighted that other Government ministries and departments supported the Ministry of Health in finding lasting solutions in the shortage of the health personnel’s ambulances and health facilities.
