MBABANE – The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) extends heartfelt gratitude to Build It and its suppliers for their continued investment in the Build It Under-13 Football Development Programme over the years.
The successful execution of Saturday’s Build It Under-13 National Championship 2024 showcased the passion, zeal, and commitment of Build It and its partners towards football development, the well-being of Eswatini’s youth, and the nation’s future.
According to a statement released by EFA Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe, the association also appreciates His Majesty’s Government for gracing the event at the Mavuso Sports Centre on Saturday, represented by the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister. The government’s support towards football and sports development in the country was invaluable.
“The EFA acknowledges the Football Authorities, the Football Family, the Build It Family, the Royal Eswatini Police Service, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Mavuso Sports Centre Stadium Management, parents, players, and the media for their vital roles in the successful execution of the national championships.
The contributions of all stakeholders were crucial to the event’s success. EFA highlights the growth and positive evolution of the Build It competitions, which provide an excellent platform for identifying, nurturing, and grooming players for elite leagues and national teams. These competitions also offer international exposure through Build It’s collaborations with international partners in South Africa,” reads part of the statement.
EFA also congratulated the champions, the Build It Mbabane Under-13 Pick Team, for securing the main prize. Congratulations were extended to individual prize winners, including Junior Sibandze, who received a E10,000 bursary, Anele Dlamini, who won the Africa Tank Top Goal Scorer Award along with a 2,500-litre Africa Tank worth E3,000, and Sebenele Mavuso, who was named Build It Best Goalkeeper and received a bicycle worth E1,900.
