SIPHOFANENI – Residents have warmly welcomed the opening of a new Embiveni mini meat market, the first such establishment in the Lubombo region. The launch saw hundreds of customers flocking to the market to purchase a variety of meat products, demonstrating a strong demand for affordable and high-quality meat in the area.
Managing Director of Embiveni, Phindile Matsebula, expressed her excitement about the expansion, stating that the new outlet has already created 10 direct jobs, along with additional indirect employment opportunities.
She also revealed plans to increase job opportunities as the business grows.
“The demand is high, which is why we decided to open in Siphofaneni. Customers have already asked us to expand the space to accommodate more shoppers,” she said.
Matsebula emphasized that the company remains committed to providing first-world shopping experiences beyond urban areas. She revealed that the Siphofaneni branch is part of a larger expansion strategy aimed at ensuring premium meat products are accessible across the country. “First-world shops should not be confined to urban areas. We are bringing modern shopping facilities closer to Emaswati, in line with His Majesty King Mswati III’s vision,” she stated.
The Siphofaneni outlet is the fourth Embiveni meat market to open since the company was acquired by new owners, Inyatsi Group Holdings, under the visionary leadership of Executive Chairman Michelo Shakantu. This new mini-market follows the successful establishment of branches in Matsapha, Mbabane, and Nhlangano.
Customers were particularly drawn to the competitive pricing at the new outlet, with Matsebula explaining that lower prices were introduced to accommodate all consumers. She extended her gratitude to Emaswati for their overwhelming support, assuring them that the company will continue prioritizing community development and customer satisfaction. “Emaswati loves our brand, and we will not disappoint them. We are committed to delivering quality meat products and expanding according to demand,” she added.
Matsebula highlighted that before the company’s expansion, a small Embiveni shop was only available in Matsapha near the factory, making it costly for customers in other regions to access their products. She noted that by extending its reach to new locations, the company is reducing travel costs for consumers while ensuring that high-quality meat products are readily available. She also emphasized that future expansions are already in the pipeline, driven by the positive response from customers who continue to request more outlets in their communities.
One excited customer, Sipho Dlamini, expressed his satisfaction with the new Embiveni meat market, saying, “This shop is a game-changer for us in Siphofaneni. Before, we had to travel long distances to get affordable quality meat, but now it’s right here in our community. The prices are reasonable, and the meat is fresh.”
Another shopper, Nomsa Mthethwa, welcomed the expansion and called for more branches in rural areas. “We are happy that Embiveni has brought this shop to us. It shows they care about all Emaswati, not just those in cities. I hope they continue opening more branches in other parts of the country so that everyone can benefit.”
