ESWATINI ARTS SUMMIT CLOSES CALL OUT FOR ISITHA AUDITIONS

MANZINI – An extremely overwhelming response to be on Isitha season 3 sees call out for auditions close early!

The Eswatini Arts Summit has announced that the call for auditions for the South African telenovela Isitha, The Enemy has been closed earlier than anticipated due to an overwhelming response from aspiring actors.

The auditions were initially planned for 200 aspiring actors, but 350 registrations were received, leading to the early closure. The Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) CEO Stanley Dlamini, today (19 February 2025) expressed regret for those who could not register in time and encouraged those selected to make the most of their audition opportunity.

The auditions will be held at Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) offices in Manzini on Friday, 21 February 2025 from 8am.

Award-winning producers from Black Brain Pictures will be present to scout fresh talent for the upcoming Season 3 of Isitha.

Director’s Mission: South African TV Director Mandla N aims to discover new faces and provide them with opportunities in the entertainment industry.

Participants will benefit from the insights and feedback of industry experts, including award-winning actor Sello Maake Ka Ncube, enhancing their audition experience.

This initiative represents a significant opportunity for aspiring actors in Eswatini to showcase their talent on a prominent platform. The excitement is high as the auditions approach, and the industry looks forward to uncovering new talent.

Isitha airs on ETV channel 194 on weekdays at 9.30pm.  Three local EmaSwati have had roles on the TV soapy including comedian Jacob Gedlembane Shongwe, Hloniphile Sihlongonyane and Lawrence Sihlongonyane. Isitha premiered on e.TV in May last year.
