MBANGWENI– Imbali attending the second leg of Umhlanga 2026 at Mbangweni Royal Residence have access to health services from the Eswatini Nazarene Health Institution (ENHI), which is participating in the second Umhlanga leg with its Imbali Regiment .
ENHI Chief Executive Officer Mazwi Mavuso said the institution has sent its Imbali Regiment to participate in the Reed Dance Ceremony for the first time in its history. He explained that the regiment includes health professionals, while ENHI has also deployed its medical team to the event to ensure that those who require medical attention can access the necessary services.
The presence of health professionals within the regiment means that ENHI’s participation at Mbangweni is not only focused on cultural participation, but also provides an opportunity for health services to be available to Imbali during the ceremony.
Shantel Dlamini, Indvuna Yembali from the ENHI Regiment, said health remains an important aspect of the institution’s participation, reminding Imbali that “your health is your wealth.”
The health services provided by ENHI form part of the institution’s participation in Umhlanga, with its medical team available to assist those who may require medical attention while at the event.
The participation also gives health professionals from ENHI an opportunity to interact with Imbali in a cultural environment while contributing through their professional roles. Also attending the second leg is Temasiko Dlamini, Inkhosatane from the ENHI Regiment, who is participating in Umhlanga for the sixth time.
Temasiko said her continued participation has strengthened her passion for encouraging other Imbali to attend Umhlanga and experience the importance of the cultural tradition. ENHI’s first participation with its own Imbali Regiment at the Mbangweni leg has therefore added a health-services component to the institution’s involvement in the annual cultural event.
With health professionals forming part of the regiment and the medical team providing support on the ground, ENHI is contributing to the wellbeing of Imbali and others who may require medical attention during the second leg.
