MBABANE – Eswatini’s economy recorded a major positive milestone in November 2025, with the national inflation rate easing to 2.4%, marking one of the lowest levels in recent years and reflecting growing price stability across the country.

According to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) Report released by the Central Statistical Office (CSO), the November inflation figure represents a notable decline from 2.9% in October 2025 and a sharp improvement from 3.7% recorded in November 2024. This downward trend signals easing pressure on household budgets and strengthens confidence in the country’s economic management.

The report further highlights that price movements remained stable on a month-on-month basis, with inflation standing at 0.0%, indicating no overall increase in consumer prices between October and November.

Housing, water, electricity and other utilities emerged as the largest contributors to the headline inflation rate, accounting for 1.2 percentage points, followed by clothing and footwear at 0.4 percentage points, and education at 0.3 percentage points.

Encouragingly, food and non-alcoholic beverages recorded zero annual inflation, offering relief to households. Transport inflation also remained subdued at 0.7%, further supporting affordability.

Overall, the 2.4% inflation rate reflects positive economic fundamentals and provides a strong foundation for sustainable growth, income stability and improved planning for households, businesses and policymakers alike.
