MBABANE – Are you passionate about sports and love being in front of the camera? Eswatini Television Authority (ESTVA) is giving aspiring broadcasters a chance to become the next commentator of sports on national TV.

In an announcement posted on Eswatini TV’s official Facebook page two days ago, the broadcaster called on young, energetic, and confident individuals with a love for sports to audition for a new sports presenter role. The opportunity is aimed at fresh talent ready to bring live action and local sports stories to life for the nation.

“Are you passionate about sports and love being in front of the camera? Do you have the energy, confidence, and knowledge to bring live action and sports stories to life? This could be your big break!” read the announcement.

The call was confirmed by Nomcebo Malinga, Senior Marketing, Communication and Brand Officer at Eswatini TV.

How to Apply:

Aspiring sports presenters must record a 30-second video showcasing their commentary skills in three sports codes: soccer, athletics, and one of their choices, delivered in their unique style. The clips must then be submitted via WhatsApp to 7809 4185.

By the time of compiling this report, the video announcement had already racked up over 8,400 views, indicating high interest from the public.

This recruitment drive comes as ESTVA continues to expand its presence and impact. Recently, the national broadcaster partnered with MTN Bushfire as the official broadcast partner of the 2025 festival. As part of this partnership, Eswatini TV will air the four UN “Bring Your Fire” Dialogues, hosted across different regions..

Earlier this year, ESTVA temporarily relocated operations to the Eswatini Broadcasting and Information Services (EBIS) building. The move is part of a strategic studio upgrade expected to last six to eight months, allowing the station to modernize its technology and enhance its broadcast capabilities.

As ESTVA evolves, it is opening doors for new talent, giving young EmaSwati a national platform to shine. Could you be the next face of Eswatini sports media?
