MBABANE – Four schools being Lusoti Primary, Lulakeni Primary, Nceka Primary and Ngwane High are through to the finals of the KFC Scara Thindwa Soccer tournament in under-13 boys and Under-17 girls respectively.
Under the auspice of Eswatini School Sports Association, in collaboration with the Scara Thindwa Soccer Foundation, the tournament sponsored to the tune of E900 000, saw 8 schools competing at different categories for the final’s spots.
The finals are billed for July 13 with the venue yet to be announced.
The semi-finals were played on Wednesday (July 3, 2024) at the Manzini Club. In the Under 13 boy’s category, Lusoti Primary School set up a date with Lulakeni Primary in the battle for the coveted title.
These schools booked their spot in the finals after with Lusoti Primary cruised past Manzini Central Primary 4-0 while Lulakeni advanced to the finals despite not playing against St Marks Primary who failed to present the necessary documentation for a game.
In the under-17 girls, Ngwane High School will lock horns with Nceka Primary School. The latter Nceka Primary humiliated Mpakeni High 8-0 after regulation time in the semi-finals. Ngwane Park earned a hard-fought ticket to the finals after playing out to a 1-all draw against Mdzimba High School and ultimately winning after penalty shoot-outs.

Nceka Primary 8 – 0 Mpakeni
