MBABANE – Mbabane’s epic nights are back as Glen Lewis’ magic touch set to ignite the capital city.
The Mbabane entertainment scene is expected to be ignited this coming Saturday, April 5, as legendary South African house music DJ and producer Glen Lewis takes center stage at IF’s Lounge Mbabane for the much-anticipated “Saturday Balcony Sip & Chill.”
The event, sponsored by Black Crown, promises an unforgettable night of top-tier music, a vibey ambiance, and electrifying performances.
A titan in the house music industry, Glen Lewis, born Lewis Mposteng Tshinaba, boasts an illustrious career spanning decades. Known for his deep, soulful house sound and impeccable mixing skills, he first rose to prominence in the late 1990s as a DJ on South Africa’s renowned Metro FM. Over the years, he has cemented his status as a household name in the industry, having released multiple chart-topping compilations and collaborated with some of the biggest names in house music. His work with DJs at Work and his solo projects have earned him a loyal following across Africa and beyond.
The “Saturday Balcony Sip & Chill” lineup is stacked with some of Eswatini’s finest DJs, ensuring an immersive musical journey throughout the night. Joining Glen Lewis on the decks will be Mistosoul, Wicked, Mbo, Young Love, The Bishops, Tibza, Yamkela, Jazzinsoul, Acoustic Soul, Skeezy, and M.P.H.O, with MC TK keeping the energy high. From deep house to Afro-house, lounge beats to pulsating club anthems, attendees can expect a sonic experience like no other.
Set against the stylish backdrop of IF’s Lounge Mbabane, located at the MVA Building, the event kicks off at 2 PM and will run until the early hours of the morning, wrapping up at 6 AM. Partygoers are encouraged to dress smart casual, with an entry fee of E100 securing access to what promises to be an epic night of music and socializing.
This show will take place this coming Saturday.
Speaking on behalf of IF’s Lounge, Thulani Ntshangase, who is the founder of the posh hangout spot, said they wanted to bring a unique artist for their patrons and Glen Lewis was the best candidate for this particular event. He encouraged music lovers to buy tickets early to avoid being disappointed on the day of the event as tickets are limited.
Ntshangase revealed that the international DJ had already confirmed his participation in the show, while adding that he would also be available for a meet and greet with his local fans as soon as he arrives in the country.
While speaking through his management, Glen Lewis confirmed that he was looking forward to performing in the country again. He further appreciated the warm reception he always receives each time he is booked to perform in the country.
Resident DJ Mistosoul also called on house music lovers to come in their numbers, promising an electrifying set.
“This is going to be a night to remember. Glen Lewis is a legend, and we’re going to make sure the energy stays high throughout. I have prepared a special set that will keep everyone on their feet, so music lovers better not miss this one,” he said.
IF’s Lounge Mbabane branch was officially launched last year on December 28 in front of an impressive crowd, where South African artists, including veteran kwaito star Thebe, delivered spirited performances that left the crowd yearning for more.
