MBABANE – Aspiring runners in the Shiselweni Region are set to shine as the Tinkhundla Talent Search Cross-Country event will take place this Saturday, October 19, 2024.
The competitions will be held across three venues: Hlathikhulu Show Ground, Hosea High School, and Zombodze Emuva Inkhundla. Events will commence at 8 am and will feature three categories: a 3km race for ages 10-15, a 6km race for ages 15-20, and a 10km race for the open category.
Registration for participation is still open.
This talent search, launched by the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs under the theme Tinkhundla National Talent Search, was successfully conducted in the Manzini Region last Saturday.
In Zone One (1), Hlathikhulu Show Ground will host competitors from four Tinkhundla Centres: Mtsambama, Kubuta, Nkwene, and Kumethula. Zone Two (2), at Hosea High School, will feature five Tinkhundla Centres: Hosea, Sandleni, Ngudzeni, Sigwe, and Shiselweni I.
Meanwhile, Zone Three (3) at Zombodze Emuva will include participants from Zombodze Emuva, Gege, Maseyisini, Matsanjeni, Somntongo, and Shiselweni II.
Athletics Eswatini (AE), in collaboration with the Eswatini Sport and Recreation Council (ESRC), invites residents of the Shiselweni Region to register for this exciting talent search competition.
“Registration is still open. Spread the word and let’s come together to celebrate talent and athleticism,” stated AE.
