MBABANE – As we celebrate Mother’s Day today, I take this moment to honor my beloved mother, J. Khumalo, a God-fearing woman of 75 years who brought five beautiful souls into this world.
She raised us without the presence of a man, yet we never felt the absence of love. She was both mother and father, protector and provider. Through countless sacrifices, she showed us how to face life with strength, dignity, and independence.
More than anything, she taught us to pray — not just with words, but with unwavering faith. Her prayers were our shelter, and even now, as grown adults, we are still covered by the power of her devotion.
Believe me, it wasn’t always easy, but her faith carried us through. It is true: God hears the prayers of a single parent.
